4 Download the slack app on your laptop and phone and make sure notifications are turned on! All messages must be responded to within 6 hours.

5 You must send through the following documentation on slack:
-Bank details:
Account number and BSB
-A photo of your
WWCC
-A copy of the
signed tutoring contract (button below):
-ABN: Please apply for one if you do not have one as this must be displayed to our clients (the parents)

6 Please read the tutor information sheet (button below) - particularly if you are new to tutoring.

7 Payments will come through fortnightly on a Sunday via bank transfer! If the parents have any questions about payment, provide them with the following details: [Account name: James Thurston, Account: 1028-0401, BSB: 063-177]. Confusion often occurs with regards to payment as we do not provide or discuss payment details until after the first lesson as we have found this can deter some parents from commencing tutoring!

After a session, in order to get paid simply DM @James Thurston on Slack with the details, in the format “full name, date, duration, location” or “Lexi Smith, 20/4, 1 hour, in-person”. We believe that simplicity is essential and therefore believe that bank transfers is easier for both us, you and the parents when compared to using an automatic payment system like TutorCruncher. We will follow up on all late payments on your behalf.

9 Our Referral Program is below.

10 Please note the normal compensation is $55-60 p/h for in-person tutoring ($70-75p/h cost to the parents)

11 If a session time becomes unsuitable for either you or your student, all efforts must be made to arrange for a suitable postponement / alternative time, rather than “skipping” the session.

12 Going overtime is very generous, however it must be discussed with the parent before a session (particularly the first) has occurred. The parent may be under the assumption that you are simply being nice and may not be willing to pay for a 1h40m session, as an example, if not discussed.

13 Always use professional language and proper punctuation and grammar when conversing with a parent. “sure”, “dunno” and “nah” are examples of unprofessional words.
